“Technology will change the future, the young generation is the one who is best at innovating” – Ziarul de Garda

President Maya Sandu participated in the final of the FIRST LEGO League Challenge, the largest international competition in the field of technology and robotics, dedicated to children and adolescents. The event took place on Saturday, May 14, and brought together hundreds of students from all over Moldova, the presidency said in a statement.

This year, the contestants had to come up with innovative transportation solutions that would be fast, cost-effective, people-friendly and environmentally friendly.

«It’s a mission our young people have accomplished so well, I think for many of them this is the first step in a successful career.“, – said the head of state, who handed over the awards for the best projects, admired the work of the winning teams.

The robotics course was introduced in schools in the Republic of Moldova in 2014, and today it is taught in more than 200 educational institutions and libraries in the country, being one of the most popular among students.
