Chinese military researchers seek solutions to destroy Elon Musk satellites if they threaten national security

According to a document released last month, China needs to develop anti-satellite capabilities, including a system to track and control each Starlink satellite.

The study was led by Ren Yuanzhen, a researcher at the Beijing Institute of Telecommunications. The co-authors included several high-ranking Chinese defense scientists, the SCMP reported.

Starlink is the most ambitious satellite communications project of all time, providing Internet services to commercial and military users around the world.

SpaceX founder Elon Musk has become very popular in China as an innovative model. But criticism of Muskie և’s companies has grown significantly since two Starlink satellites approached the Chinese space station dangerously last year.

Rehn estimates that US military drones and fighter jets can increase data transfer speeds by more than 100 times via Starlink.

SpaceX has partnered with the US Department of Defense to develop new technologies based on the Starlink platform, including sensitive tools that can detect and track hypersonic weapons.

With more than 2,300 satellites in orbit, Starlink is generally considered indestructible as the system can maintain its proper operation even after the loss of the satellites.
